About Seminars
Our Online Seminar is one of the most important events in Brazil, it has been held since August 2020, every Wednesday at 2 pm, Brasília time, with a frequency of 14 days. Two 40-minute lectures are presented in each session. Our speakers are world-renowned mathematicians from Europe, the United States and South America.

Recent Advances in the stability of laminated beams
The Hansen and Spies laminated beam model is a model that de-
scribes the interaction between two identical Timoshenko beams that are bonded together by means of an adhesive layer of negligible thickness and mass, allowing interfacial sliding. It is a system of three coupled hy-perbolic equations. In this lecture, we will present several recent results on the stability and lack of stability of the semigroup associated with this model when subjected to the action of various dissipative mechanisms.
